Angelina Jolie 'Honored' to Receive Golden Globe nomination

Angelina Jolie says she feels "honored" to receive a Golden Globe nomination for her role in Clint Eastwood's Changeling.

In the film, Jolie plays Christine Collins - a single mother who returns home one day to discover her nine-year-old son, Walter, is missing.

The 1920s drama also stars John Malkovich and Jeffrey Donovan.

And Jolie is thrilled that her hard work is being recognized.

She says, "I am honored to be nominated by the Hollywood Foreign Press in a category with so many extraordinary women.

"What an amazing experience, having the opportunity to work with Clint Eastwood on a film I care so deeply about."

The Tomb Raider star is up against Anne Hathaway for Rachel Getting Married; Meryl Streep for Doubt; Kristin Scott Thomas for I've Loved You So Long; and Kate Winslet for Revolutionary Road.

Angelina's partner, Brad Pitt, also earned an acting nod for his role in the David Fincher-directed fantasy drama The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.

Says Pitt, "I am pleased to be nominated for this award and would like to also congratulate David, Eric [Roth] and Alexandre [Desplat] on their nominations.

"We're all very proud of the film and thankful to the Hollywood Foreign Press for recognizing our work."
