Angelina Jolie 'Honored' to Receive Golden Globe nomination

Angelina Jolie says she feels "honored" to receive a Golden Globe nomination for her role in Clint Eastwood's Changeling.

In the film, Jolie plays Christine Collins - a single mother who returns home one day to discover her nine-year-old son, Walter, is missing.

The 1920s drama also stars John Malkovich and Jeffrey Donovan.

And Jolie is thrilled that her hard work is being recognized.

She says, "I am honored to be nominated by the Hollywood Foreign Press in a category with so many extraordinary women.

"What an amazing experience, having the opportunity to work with Clint Eastwood on a film I care so deeply about."

The Tomb Raider star is up against Anne Hathaway for Rachel Getting Married; Meryl Streep for Doubt; Kristin Scott Thomas for I've Loved You So Long; and Kate Winslet for Revolutionary Road.

Angelina's partner, Brad Pitt, also earned an acting nod for his role in the David Fincher-directed fantasy drama The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.

Says Pitt, "I am pleased to be nominated for this award and would like to also congratulate David, Eric [Roth] and Alexandre [Desplat] on their nominations.

"We're all very proud of the film and thankful to the Hollywood Foreign Press for recognizing our work."

'Dark Knight' Fans Want Johnny Depp, Angelina Jolie in Next Batman Movie, Says Blockbuster Survey

DALLAS, --The Riddler & Harley Quinn Are Top Picks for Villains

As the Dec. 9 DVD release of "The Dark Knight" approaches, fans have casting picks for director Christopher Nolan should he create another Batman film. According to a survey conducted by Blockbuster Inc., movie fans are hoping to see Johnny Depp and Angelina Jolie play starring roles. The villains that fans would most like to see Batman take on are The Riddler and The Joker's therapist turned girlfriend Harley Quinn.
"Both Johnny Depp and Angelina Jolie are actors who can bring a Batman villain to life in the complex, realistic style that have made Nolan's films so popular," said Keith Leopard, director of film product for Blockbuster Inc. "It would be exciting to see what they could do with The Riddler's compulsive clue-giving and Harley Quinn's transformation from brilliant therapist to psychotic criminal."
Other top picks from movie lovers for the next Batman film's villains were Cat Woman, The Penguin and tough guy Bane. Favorite actors to play roles like these included Natalie Portman, Edward Norton and Keira Knightley.
Until a new movie is created, fans can get their Batman fix by heading to a local BLOCKBUSTER(R) store or visiting Blockbuster.com to rent or buy the "Dark Knight" DVD on Tuesday, Dec. 9. Angelina Jolie’s mother 'mess'

The 33-year-old beauty - whose French-Canadian mom passed away in January 2007 – is still struggling to come to terms with life without Marcheline Bertrand, and is worried she will never be as close to anyone else again.

A source said: "She has to keep it together for the sake of her kids, but she is only human and falls apart from time to time. She is still a mess over Marcheline's departure, believing no one understands her the way her mother did. They had a very strong bond that she feels she will never have with another person."

Angelina depends on partner Brad Pitt for support during her darkest times, and also relies on her children – adopted Maddox, seven, Pax, four, and Zahara, three, biological daughter Shiloh, two, and four-month-old twins Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline – to raise her spirits.

The source added: "Brad has been her rock, and he will always be there for her. Without his love, she would never have been able to cope.

"Maddox tries to cheer her up and makes her laugh and smile. She feels like she is the most privileged woman to have such an incredible family and has said her mother is a guardian angel over her household."

Earlier this month, Angelina broke down in tears while talking about her mom while promoting new film 'Changeling'.

She said: "She was really sweet and was never angry - she couldn't swear to save her life. But when it came to her kids, she was really fierce and so this is very much her, her story.

"She was the woman I related to, who had that elegance and strength through just knowing what was right."

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt Plans Foreign Christmas

After recently admitting that traveling with six kids is difficult, Brad Pitt has revealed that he and Angelina plan to do just that for Christmas. The actor says he and Jolie want to spend the holidays in one of their three adopted children’s countries.

The couple’s son Maddox is from Cambodia, son Pax is from Vietnam and daughter Zahara is from Ethiopia. Biological daughter Shiloh was born in Namibia while Jolie gave birth to twins Knox and Vivienne in France in July.

“We wanna go to one of the kids’ places of origin and spend time there,” Pitt says.

Jolie and Pitt recently admitted that they want to adopt another child soon.

Angelina Jolie Next to Quit Acting.. “I Like Being at Home”

The four rarest words in the English language are .. “I love my job.” Name your dream job and you’ll find someone who has that job and can’t stand it. Early this month, Joaquin Phoenix quit acting to become a musician. Now, Angelina Jolie says she is leaving Hollywood too.

Last Thursday, in an interview with the BBC, Angelina Jolie said..
“I don’t plan to keep acting very long, I’m ready to do a few things now and fade away and get ready to be a grandma one day. So maybe it will be once a year and then maybe it will be once every three years, and then just naturally *poof* - I like being home a lot these days.” That *poof* was a creative touch..

In 2009, Angelina Jolie will star in the movie adaptation of the Ayn Rand classic Atlas Shrugged and one other film, The Mercenary, when they wrap, the fade begins.

Don’t think Brad Pitt is going to join Angelina on that couch; somebody has to keep those seven
teen kids above the poverty level.

Angelina Jolie Still a Punk at Heart

NEW YORK — Angelina Jolie may be seen as one of the most beautiful women in the world, but in her mind, she's "just a punk kid with tattoos."

The "Changeling" actress claims becoming a mother has not tamed her rebellious streak in a new interview with Harper's Bazaar.

She told the magazine: "I don't walk around feeling I need to apologize or explain myself. I am still, at heart — and always will be — just a punk kid with tattoos."

The 33-year-old actress — who is adamant she will never hide things from her children — has already spoken about the world's conflicts to her young brood.

Jolie said: "Listen, my kids play video games. I let them play with toy soldiers. We don't take war and violence lightly, but we don't hide it from anybody."

Angelina Jolie: For Your Viewing Pleasure

Choosing not to release any part of its Angelina Jolie interview before the magazine hits newsstands on Thursday, Harper's Bazaar UK has opted to simply unveil the cover shot instead.

Which is certainly OK with us since, given the stunning nature of this pic, they may have put out the best part of the issue anyway.

Sure, we're kind of intrigued by what Angie has to reveal in the upcoming story, but we doubt it'll be as good as what we imagine she's saying right now with that come-hither stare.

Angelina Jolie Makes Humanitarian Trip to Afghanistan

Angelina Jolie has returned from a two-day humanitarian trip to Afghanistan this week, visiting poverty-stricken families, according to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees.

The actress traveled Wednesday and Thursday to regions where thousands of former refugees have returned to the country to face crowded, squalid conditions.

"The courage, resilience and quiet dignity of returnee families rebuilding their lives against the kind of adversity few of us can imagine shows the human spirit at its best," Jolie said.

Jolie, 33, is a Goodwill Ambassador for the UNHCR, which reported the trip on its Web site.

She has called for more international support for the returnees as winter approaches.

According to the UN, more than 5 million Afghans have returned home since the fall of the Taliban regime in late 2001. Another 3 million registered Afghans are still in exile in Pakistan and Iran.

Angelina: Thrilling to Work With Clint

As a mother of six, Angelina Jolie says she was tempted to turn down the role of Christine Collins in Changeling, a movie about a woman who loses her son to kidnappers, because of her own fears as a mom.

"I read it in one sitting," Angelina says in an interview for ABC News Now's "Popcorn With Peter Travers."

"And I was so angry as a mother that I didn't want to do it, I didn't want to touch it, I didn't want to think about anyone kidnapping my children. I didn't want to go near it," she confesses. "But I couldn't forget it and I couldn't stop thinking about her and I kept telling people about this amazing woman and so I realized that her story and the story of what she overcame and that she fought the system and who she was and I really wanted to tell it.

Click here for OK!'s Ultimate Angelina gallery!

However when legendary actor and director Clint Eastwood called to offer her the part, Angie just couldn't say no.

"I got the phone call that he was, he was definitely going to do it and was OK with me doing it and I was jumping around the house," she reveals. "It was like getting my first job, I was thrilled. And it was everything and more that I hoped it would be as an experience."

The two Hollywood heavyhitters have big families in common – Clint is a father of seven – and Angie and partner Brad Pitt are almost as famous for their growing family as their movie roles.

"The important thing is you can only censor so much," she says of the constant attention globetrotters Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh and twins Knox and Vivienne attract.

"They'll find things. They'll find it at a friend's house. You've got to make sure they get enough good stuff and nice stories and good messages at home and got some purity to it. But I think it's also making sure they have a life outside all that pop culture and making sure they travel and see the world, they go outside enough and play dress up, and do all those things children should be doing so they get balance, so their mind is balanced," she said.

Jolie remains stylish despite being a mom!

She might be spending all her days nursing her new-born twins plus caring for her existing brood of four kids, but Angelina Jolie still manages to take out time for one of her biggest passion — fashion.

In a recent interview, Jen Rade, Angelina’s longtime stylist, revealed that despite being fully engaged in motherly duties, the ‘Tomb Raider’ star takes out time on the phone to discuss her sartorial options. “No, [it''s not tough], but she’s definitely got a lot going on. Any time you talk to her there’s a lot of kids in the background, that’s for sure,” People quoted Rade, as saying.

Currently, Rade is styling Angelina for the Changeling junket due later this month, as well as the film’s premiere on October 4. “It’ll be her first big US appearance since having the babies. I feel some pressure, but I think I can do it. We’ve been doing it for five years together,” said Rade.

When asked if it was difficult to find clothes that go with the new mum’s post-pregnancy body, Rade said: “Not really. It’s going to be fun. I’m looking forward to it.”

Rade described Angelina’s style as “kind of classic with a rock and roll edge” and says she loves working with Angelina because “she’s funny and smart.” And to add on to that, Rade claimed that the actress is a fab mom: “She loves it — or else she wouldn’t do it.”

A Jolie good show

A FEW years back, when the whole Lara Croft thing took off, video gamers all over the world had a real dilemma. Here was a computer-animated character so beautiful, so alluring and so damned sexy that, when they played the game, they weren’t sure which joystick to use. For me, this merely proved a long-held opinion — that people who played video games should get out more and experience the real world. Things took on a more sinister edge when my wife ended up doing the styling and costume for the “real-life”, public appearance version of Lara Croft, and would regale me with horror stories of spotty computer freaks at gaming exhibitions.

Apparently they would just stand, glazed over, their hands moving suspiciously in their pockets, staring at the incarnation of their heroine.
God knows what they were thinking and by all accounts security had to be on their toes. With all this in mind, I could have been forgiven for not really looking forward to the second Lara Croft movie — especially when I hadn’t even seen the first. Not for the first time in my life, I was to be proved wrong.

So, so wrong.

And it’s all down to Angelina Jolie, who has a screen presence like no other actress around today.
Seriously, the moment I saw her looking like she’d been poured into a silver wetsuit, I was hooked. And things just got better. A few highlights. Lara taking a conference call on her earpiece while riding a black stallion, blasting the s*** out of targets with a pump-action shotgun and clad in leather coat and jodhpurs. Lara ignoring the clamours of inmates as she strides along the landing of an Eastern European jail, clad in a white fur coat. Lara surveying an array of weapons, casually playing with a butterfly knife while issuing orders down a phone. When asked what she is doing, she replies in the perfect cut-glass accent of an English private girls’ school: “Accessorising.”

The plot, if you’re interested — and frankly I wasn’t — involves Lara saving the world from a mad scientist (Ciarán Hinds), who steals a supernatural orb.
Croft teams up with ex-agent Terry Sheridan (Gerard Butler) and their trip to track down the elusive doctor takes them to Hong Kong, Tanzania, Greece and The Great Wall Of China. Along the way they find time for a bit of love and plenty of action. There are some great stunts (especially the leap from Hong Kong’s International Financial Centre) and the movie cracks along at a fairly wicked pace. Everyone and everything, though, plays second fiddle to Angelina Jolie. I can’t remember the last time I saw a film so dominated by the extraordinary beauty and screen presence of the lead actress. See it for her alone.

Holy Jolie! Those baby names are so…well…normal

You could almost hear the collective groan from reporters and commentators the world over when they learned the names of Angelina Jolie’s twins. Pencils, mine included, were sharpened for stories of outlandish celebrity baby names. OK, Jolie and partner Brad Pitt didn’t go for “Jack and Jill” exactly, but Vivienne Marcheline was remarkably restrained for the bizarre-baby-name age, and Knox Leon was only slightly more whacky.

Nicole Kidman had got people nicely warmed up with “Sunday Rose” for her recently-arrived daughter, who, incidentally, was born on a Monday.
The Daily Telegraph caught the mood with a tongue-in-cheek commentary saying Jolie had “failed the name game”, calling her choices “shockingly conventional.”

Celebrity baby name lists remind us of glories past, for which many of us secretly pine. Remember Princess Tiaamii (daughter of model Jordan and Peter Andre)? Or Heavenly Hiraani Tiger Lily (Paula Yates and Michael Hutchence) and Jermajesty (Jermaine Jackson and Alejandra Genevieve Oaziaza)? Angelina, we deserved better.

Angelina Jolie leaves hospital with new twins

NICE, France (AFP) — Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie checked out of a maternity clinic in the south of France on Saturday a week after giving birth to twins, according to a statement. Jolie, 33, left before dawn on Saturday, avoiding photographers who have been massed outside the Fondation Lenval clinic in Nice. The Oscar-winning American actress and her children Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline, a boy and a girl, "were doing perfectly well," said the statement issued by the clinic.

The twins, born last Saturday, brought the number of Jolie's children with 44-year-old American film star Brad Pitt to six.
Dubbed "Brangelina" in the press, Hollywood's golden couple have adopted three children: Maddox, six, born in Cambodia; four-year-old Pax, born in Vietnam; and Zahara, three, born in Ethiopia. Their first biological child, Shiloh, was born May 2006 in Namibia. In May, the pair set up home in a chateau they rented from an American acquaintance in France's southern Provence region.

Angelina Jolie to leave hospital this weekend?

July 17, 2008 (Sawf News) - While there is no definitive word on it, Angelina Jolie will leave Lenval hospital and return home with her newborn twins this weekend, according to current speculation. A spokeswoman for the hospital, Nadine Bauer, told E!online, "After a C-section, the normal stay for a mother in the Lenval hospital is between eight and 10 days." Jolie gave birth to twins Knox Leon.

One reason why her doctor, Michel Sussmann, is in no hurry to release Jolie, though doing so will get rid of the media circus outside the hospital, is because he feels that Jolie will not get the rest she needs to recover completely.
"Angelina has four young and lively children at home, and he suspects the temptation to get up out of bed and play with them will overwhelm her," the source said. "He knows how much she misses the other children, but he feels that she will benefit from a few extra days' rest. They're being very well cared for." Meanwhile, the twins got their first visit from uncle James Haven, Jolie's brother, on Thursday, July 17.

Angie's Tatoos Inspired by Winston Churchill

Actress Angelina Jolie says two of the tattoos she sports in the action thriller Wanted were inspired by late British Prime Minister Winston Churchill. In the film, Jolie, 33, plays an assassin striving to make the world a better place. For her role, she got two temporary tattoos inspired by a speech Churchill made during his first day of office in 1940.

"We tried to focus the tattoos on themes that would be related to this sense of justice," says Jolie. "From Churchill's speech, 'We have nothing to offer but blood, toil, tears and sweat,' I had 'Toil' and 'Tears' [tattooed on me]."
Jolie has other (permanent) tattoos she has acquired over the years. "I have 'Strength of Will' in one language, and we added it in four other languages on my arm," she says. "'Know Your Rights' is printed in English on the back of my neck, and also in Latin."

For the moment, the Oscar winner is in Lenval Hospital in Nice, France, awaiting the birth of twins with partner Brad Pitt, 44. The entire Jolie-Pitt clan is settled in a sprawling 880-acre, $70 million wine estate the couple has leased for the next three years.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's neighbours lie to paparazzi

Locals in the French village beset with photographers since Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie moved in are taking their revenge by feeding the paparazzi lies. For every fictitious story picked up by the insatiable appetite of the world's media the instigator gets a free glass of pastis. Since 'Brangelina' arrived the Provençal village of Correns has been anything but the peaceful bolthole the couple had so desired. "They came here to find some peace and instead there are paparazzi at the gate day and night, it's really unbearable," said Christine, a local winemaker.

"There are always five or six motorbikes and cars ready to launch into a chase."
The couple have tried to flummox the press by sending out decoy limousines with blacked out windows, while escaping by helicopter, but the 'paps' show no signs of giving up. Some villagers are happy with the extra cash flowing through the local economy. "It's bringing business because people are a little curious," said Onno Stijl, a chef at the Auberge du Parc hotel and restaurant. "For now there's a lot of hype, it's going to be good for the next few weeks and after that we'll see." But other locals fed up with the constant intrusion into their lives are getting their revenge.

Wily villagers are feeding reporters more and more elaborate lies.
Reports last month that Mrs Jolie had given birth to twins three months earlier than expected were said to have originated with the imaginative villagers.

Angelina Jolie: I'm Taking Off Completely For Children

Angelina Jolie says she is “taking off completely” from her acting career so she can spend more time with her children. She and her partner Brad Pitt have four children and are expecting twins this summer. Jolie has spoken out about her life as a working mom. The 32-year-old says she feels “very lucky” because her job allows her to spend a lot of time with her family. “I’m very, very lucky. A lot of mothers don’t have a job where they can just work a few months in a year and then come out for two says for a press conference,” Jolie says. “My schedule is very small in comparison when it comes to hours so I can afford to spend as much time as possible with my children.”

She also reveals that she and Pitt have nannies but either she or Pitt are at home at all times. “When I’m working, Brad’s home with the children and vice versa. We do have nannies that help us, but nobody spends the night,” she said.
“We also spend a lot of time completely alone with out children. We’ve kind of found a balance. And this year I’m taking off completely for the family,” she added.

Jack Black spills the beans: Jolie expecting twins

Angelina Jolie is indeed expecting twins, and it was Jack Black who let the news slip with a "Brady Bunch" crack. Long rumored to have two children by Brad Pitt on the way, Jolie confirmed the news during a side-by-side "Today" show interview with Black, her "Kung Fu Panda" co-star. The two are in Cannes, France, promoting the animated film.

The twins will be the 5th and 6th children for Jolie and Pitt. She didn't volunteer the information until Black dropped the hint, joking that the couple will "have as many as (the) 'Brady Bunch' when you have these."
"It's confirmed?" followed "Today" interviewer Natalie Morales. "Yeah, yeah, we've confirmed that already," Jolie said. "Well, Jack's just confirmed it actually." "Is that true?", Black said jokingly. "Yeah, you did," Jolie replied. "Sorry," Black said.

Excerpts of the interview will air tonight on "Access Hollywood," with the full interview airing Thursday on NBC's "Today."

Celebrity Gossip Round-Up

Ugly Betty star America Ferrera is denying recent reports that she is engaged to her long-time beau, filmmaker Ryan Piers Williams. After the actress set off a media frenzy by wearing what looked to be an engagement ring on the set of the ABC hit, her rep refuted the claims. Instead, a source told the magazine, the ring could be part of a plot twist on the show. Sex and the City writer and director Michael Patrick King appears to be refuting Cynthia Nixon's recent "spoiler" that a character will die in the upcoming movie. "You don't know how many people came up to me when I was making the movie and said, 'So is somebody going to die?'" King told the New York Times. "Yup. Happy summer. Thanks for your $10. Enjoy your Diet Coke. Someone's going to die. Like that's what I'm going to do."

Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie and their four kids spent some time with U2 members The Edge and Bono on Sunday (May 4th) as they continued their stay on the French Riviera. According to E! Online, the celebrity couple and children Maddox, Pax, Zahara and Shiloh spent time with the guitarist and singer, both of whom have homes in the area, in separate visits. The family is staying at a Villa owned by Microsoft cofounder Paul Allen, who's also friends with The Edge. Pitt and Jolie are in France for the Cannes Film Festival and for Jolie to give birth to another family addition.
Ted Key, who created the Hazel comic strip that ended up a primetime TV show, has died at age 95, the Associated Press reports. Key died Saturday (May 3rd) at his home in the Philadelphia suburbs after a battle with cancer. Hazel, which revolved around a bossy maid, debuted in The Saturday Evening Post in 1943. It evolved into a TV series starring Shirley Booth in 1961 and ran for four years on NBC and one on NBC. Key also created the time-traveling dog and boy characters Mr. Peabody and Sherman for producer Jay Ward, who integrated them into the animated Rocky and His Friends show beginning in 1959.

ANGELINA JOLIE

Angelina was born in 1975 in Los Angeles to acting parents Jon Voight and Marcheline Bertrand. Despite regularly topping sexiest female polls Angelina was very much an ugly duckling in her younger years. At school she was bullied for her odd looks and braces. She began self harming to deal with the pain of being a social outcast. Years later on CNN she admitted, “I collected knives and always had certain things around."For some reason, the ritual of having cut myself and feeling the pain - maybe feeling alive - and feeling some kind of release, it was somehow therapeutic to me.”

She flirted with the idea of becoming a funeral director but gave up this rather unusual career ambition to become an actress.
After taking acting lessons and contacting various agents offers from Hollywood came flooding in. She went on to star in Hackers, Lara Croft: Tomb Raider, Gia and The Bone Collector. The actress has indulged in a number of romances with people she has met on set. Angelina married Johnny Lee Miller in 1996 after starring with him in cult film Hackers. They divorced a year later. Her well-publicised relationship with Billy Bob Thornton in 2000 blossomed after she met him on the set of Pushing Tin.

The outlandish couple made frequent and public displays of affection and famously wore each other’s blood in vials around their necks.
Despite their obvious infatuation the romance was destined not to last. In 2002 Angelina adopted her first child Maddox after a trip to Cambodia. After her high-profile divorce from Billy Bob, she was granted sole custody of her son. Her second child Zahara was adopted from an orphanage in Ethiopia and Hollywood heartthrob Brad Pitt was reportedly present when she signed the papers in July 2005.

Early that year Angelina was romantically linked to the Ocean's Eleven actor who was married to Jennifer Aniston at the time.
The Mr and Mrs Smith co-stars at first denied rumours of a budding relationship, but have since been the talk of the tabloids after Brad and Jennifer's five-year-marriage ended in October 2005. Angelina gave birth to Brad’s baby, named Shiloh Jolie-Pitt, in May 2006 in Namibia and he has since legally adopted her first two children. Following Shiloh's birth, a three-year-old boy from Vietnam joined the Jolie-Pitt clan. Pax is the newest arrival to the family, although Angelina is currently expecting another child.

Brad Pitt Urges Pregnant Angelina Jolie to Rest

According to reports, Brad Pitt has urged his partner Angelina Jolie to rest during her pregnancy. Sources say the actress refused to slow down after learning that she was pregnant with their fifth child.

“Every since she got pregnant, he’s been begging her to slow down and take things easy. He’s hired a nurse, nutritionist, personal chef and trainer to be on hand 24/7,” says a source. “At first Angelina seemed reluctant to accept help. But rushing around for work and looking after four kids is taking its toll and she’s started to listen to his advice.”

While the 32-year-old actress has slowed down with her work, she is said to be busy planning a quite summer wedding with Pitt. Insiders claim the couple wants to tie the knot in an intimate ceremony this summer before the baby is born. Jolie and Pitt already have three adopted children and one biological daughter.

More news branching off ‘Tree of Life’

By Michael Corcoran : The word from Smithville is that Brad Pitt will be done filming his role in Terrence Malick’s “Tree of Life” in about three weeks.

The shoot, currently on a Tuesday to Saturday schedule, is expected to go until June. This means all the tabloid reports about Angelina Jolie having her twins in Texas are as wrong as just about everything else that’s been reported. One article, for instance, wrote about how the Pitt-Jolie clan wanted to live near the Smithville Regional Hospital in case she went into labor. Well, the Smithville Hospital doesn’t have a maternity ward.

Can’t say we’ll miss the paparazzi, who have gone to incredible lengths to get anything on Pitt, Jolie and their four kids. One pair of snoops even posed as wedding planners to take photos of the Hyatt Lost Pines exclusive Litton House, purported to be where the P-J brood were going to stay. The Star ran the spread, even though the superstar family is renting a ranch in Cedar Creek owned by pro wrestler Mark “the Undertaker” Calaway. Helicopters have been whirring overhead at the compound, with shots showing up here.

Life & Style Weekly broke the Undertaker/Pitt plot, but there was so much else wrong in the item (there’s no Smithville-Crawford Municipal Airport) that I didn’t believe it at first, but an insider confirmed to me that it was true.

Perhaps the craziest lie picked up around the world is that Pitt offered the Hyatt Lost Pines only $3,000 a month to stay in the $2,000 a night Litton House. Do you think Brad, Angie and the kids would check into a hotel, where the paps could also get rooms? The plan was always to rent a secluded house near Smithville.

More Angelina Jolie Baby Bump!

I told you that i was going to get my hands on every single photo of Angelina Jolie's baby bump .. and here's the latest one!
Angelina Jolie was spotted with partner Brad Pitt and the kids in Texas, yesterday.

They family spent some time together shopping for toys at EB Games/GameStop ... the kids must be extra happy!

The baby bump is still sorta' small ... but you can see it.
Angie always looks good in simple black ... but Brad looks a bit raggedy to me though.

Angelina is related to Hillary, Pitt to Obama

New York (ANI): If Barrack Obama becomes the next US Prez, then actor Brad Pitt would have a distant cousin in the White House and if Hillary Clinton gets the vote, then Angelina Jolie will have a distant cousin in office, say genealogists.

According to researchers at the New England Historic Genealogical Society, Barack Obama is a distant cousin of Brad Pitt while Hillary Clinton is related to Angelina Jolie, Madonna, Alanis Morissette, and Celine Dion. The researchers found that Pitt and Obama are ninth cousins, linked by Edwin Hickman, who died in Virginia in 1769.

Clinton and Jolie, meanwhile, are ninth cousins, twice removed because they are both related to Jean Cusson who died in St. Sulpice, Quebec, in 1718. "When you get back into your ancestry, you eventually find that you're related to lots of people," the New York Daily News quoted genealogist Christopher Child, who guided the presidential research for the New England Historic Genealogical Society, as saying. "Presidential candidates are no exception," he added.

The study was based entirely on vital records kept by cities, counties and towns. Clinton, who is of French-Canadian descent on her mother's side, is also a distant cousin of singers Madonna, Celine Dion and Alanis Morissette, the research found. Obama, the son of a white woman from Kansas and a black man from Kenya, can call six U.S. Presidents, including George W. Bush, his cousins.

Meanwhile, Republican Presidential hopeful Senator John McCain is a sixth cousin of First Lady Laura Bush. "It shows that lots of different people can be related; people you wouldn't necessarily expect," Child said. Obama has the most prolific presidential lineage, featuring Democrats and Republicans. His distant cousins include President George W. Bush and his father, George H.W. Bush, as well as Gerald Ford, Harry S Truman and James Madison.

Taaz Gives Me A Reasonable Excuse To Post Pictures Of Angelina Jolie

On the left is a picture of plain old Angelina Jolie. But on the right…well we’ve got Angelina after she’s been through the Taaz virtual makeover service.

The service, which launches today, uses some of the same tricks as many of the Flash-based photo editing tools we’ve covered in the past. Taaz has added proprietary facial recognition software so that it can, for example, figure out where your lips are when you want to put on lipstick. Taaz also differs from normal photo editing tools in that it is specifically set up to help users (mostly women) see how they might look with different hair, eyes, makeup, etc. Finished makeovers can then be shared with other users, rated, commented, etc.

The tools are dead simple to use (thanks, Adobe) and I had a lot of fun testing the service. See the image below for me with cool hair and a lot of red stuff on my cheeks. They’ve also included a number of original articles on beauty and style, and helpful hints like this one: “Contrary to popular belief, matching your eye shadow to your eye color enhances your eyes, making them pop.” Good to know.

DVD: Beowulf (12)

109 mins, Warner Home Video, Action/Drama, also available to buy. Starring: Ray Winstone, Anthony Hopkins, Crispin Glover, Robin Wright Penn, Brendan Gleeson, Angelina Jolie, John Malkovich. ROBERT Zemeckis's computer animated adventure re-imagines the oldest surviving poem in the English language. In Denmark AD507, the sins of corrupt King Hrothgar (Hopkins) condemn his people to brutality at the hands of savage beast Grendel (Glover).

After a particularly vicious attack, Hrothgar sends word that he will give half his gold to any man who can slay the hideous creature. Soon after, valiant warrior Beowulf (Winstone) arrives by long boat. Aided by his loyal sidekick Wiglaf (Gleeson), Beowulf wrestles with Grendel and rips the beasts' claw from its socket, fatally wounding his prey.
The ogre dies and Grendel's mother (Jolie) vows revenge, exploiting Beowulf's lust for power to effectively seal the kingdom's fate.

Utilising the same sophisticated motion capture technology as The Polar Express, Beowulf is a smorgasbord for the senses, boasting dazzling fight sequences, lusty serving wenches and mythical, demonic creatures. The animators push the state-of-the-art technology to the limit, including a vertiginous aerial battle with a fire-breathing dragon.

Dazzling as the visuals may be, the technology still cannot replicate realistic eye movement. Close-up, the characters look like dolls, with lifeless, glassy orbs replacing the windows to their souls.
Winstone's Cock-er-ney growl is horribly misplaced next to the rest of the cast, many of whom attempt a Nordic twang, including John Malkovich as the king's snide adviser Unferth.

The story sags badly in the middle section and the tone errs towards the unintentionally camp or unnecessarily risque, including carefully positioned swords sparing the naked hero's blushes in an Austin Powers style.
What do you think? Have your say.

Angelina Jolie has had a few ‘close calls’ working as UN goodwill ambassador

Angelina Jolie admits that she’s had a few close calls ever since taking on the role of UN goodwill ambassador. The ‘Mr and Mrs Smith’ star revealed that she has used some desperate tactics while paying a visit to danger spots the world over as part of her work for the UN.

“I’ve had close calls. I’ve been in countries where people tried to take my passport – I’ve had to hide in a room because there were people outside who were dangerous,” the Daily Express quoted her, as saying.

The actress also opened up about her political activism, insisting she was privileged to be able to work for a good cause. “As for political activism, I’ve been educating myself on things that are happening around the world,” she adds.

“It’s a privilege to be able to do it. I feel motivated to say or do something because I’m in a position to do so.” However, she is clear that even her work as a UN ambassador and acting have to take a back seat when it comes to her children.

“Obviously my priorities are my children. They are growing up. I’ll be doing even less work because that’s what I prefer to do,” she said. “I’m a mom first. I don’t know if I’m as much an ambassador as I’m a citizen of the world. I just want to learn about the world and its cultures. Lastly, I’m an actress.”

Jolie is currently said to be expecting twins with partner Brad Pitt. The couple have one biological child Shiloh, and are three adopted kids – Maddox, Pax and Zahara.

J.Lo's twin babies could be millionaires

LOS ANGELES (Reuters Life!) - What's a celebrity baby worth? Possibly up to $6 million, if there are two of them and they belong to singer and actress Jennifer Lopez.

That's about the price that People magazine is reported to be offering for exclusive U.S. rights to the first photos of the soon-to-be-born twins of Lopez and husband Marc Anthony, according to a report in Advertising Age citing people familiar with negotiations.

The sultry performer is due to give birth to her first babies sometime in the next few weeks. People magazine, which this week featured exclusive pictures of singer Christina Aguilera and her 5 week-old baby Max, declined to confirm or deny the reports, saying it never discussed such negotiations.

"Celebrities have always trusted People to handle their most personal moments with sensitivity and accuracy. For more than 33 years we've brought our readers celebrity baby photos ... and will continue to deliver for our readers. Beyond that, we do not discuss specifics of any negotiations," People said in a statement.

Should Angelina Jolie Worry: Playboy Playmates Want Brad Pitt

Angelina Jolie has stripped down for many film roles. Even recently, the mother of four went full frontal in the film "Beowulf" even though she was so slim at the time she had to be digitally enhanced to add some curves and get back to the once voluptuous Angelina. But she has never gone buff for Playboy. And now some curvy buxom blondes that take their clothes off for a living want her boyfriend Brad Pitt. Should Angelina Jolie worry? Probably not, it is all for charity. In Touch Weekly reports that Playboy Playmates Bridget Marquardt, Kendra Wilkinson and Holly Madison headed to New Orleans to help out Brad Pitt with his charitable works in the Big Easy.

The weekly entertainment magazine reports that the stars of E!’s The Girls Next Door threw a benefit at the House of Blues in early February to raise money for Brad’s Make It Right foundation, which aids victims of Hurricane Katrina. “We’re so excited to partner with Make It Right because their resources go specifically to building new homes,” says Bridget. Pitt and Jolie have a home in New Orleans that they stay in for brief periods of time when Brad is in town to promote his project.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt 'expecting twins'

ANGELINA Jolie is reported to be pregnant and this time she's expecting twins. The star already has four children, including a biological daughter with partner Brad Pitt. The 32-year-old actress is planning to sell confirmation of the news and donate the money raised to charity, according to Us Weekly magazine.

The A Mighty Heart star - who has three adopted children, six-year-old Maddox, four-year-old Pax and three-year-old Zahara, and a 19-month-old biological daughter Shiloh with the Fight Club actor Brad - did nothing to dispel pregnancy rumours by wearing a flowing vintage Hermes dress to the recent Screen Actor's Guild (SAG) Awards in Los Angeles. One onlooker said: "It was so obvious she was pregnant. You could clearly see the outline of the bump."

The couple - who met on the set of 2005 film Mr. and Mrs. Smith - have never hidden their desire to expand their brood. When Jolie was asked last year how many children she would like, she replied: "It fluctuates between seven and 13 or 14. Four is kind of kicking our a**, but we kind of feel like, damn it, we're up for the challenge!"
Pitt added: "I think we'll c**p out somewhere between seven and nine."

Cover Story: Angelina Jolie Pregnant!

Of all the A-list names on the red carpet at Sunday night's Screen Actors Guild Awards, Angelina Jolie was the one on everyone's lips as they wondered what the Oscar winner might be hiding beneath that long, billowing Hermes gown — an unusual style pick for an actress known for tight, body-hugging outfits

And now OK! has learned that Angelina is indeed expecting baby no. 2 with boyfriend Brad Pitt and that the actress is over the moon about bringing another child into the world.

"Angie has wanted a second biological baby for some time now," a friend of the star tells OK!. "And the minute she's pregnant, she just glows. She's the type that doesn't want to scream it to everyone, but she has the quiet, expectant mother glow. Her smile says she's the luckiest woman in the world."

But while all is well now, the pal says it did take some persistence for Angelina to conceive. Earlier this month, OK! reported that the star was trying to work her upcoming press tour for her new film Wanted around a possible pregnancy.

The actress also sought the help of a nutritionist. "When Angelina decided to get pregnant, the nutritionist told her that she needed to start eating more calories a day," one source tells OK! "She was averaging 1,000 to 1,100 calories a day, and the nutritionist wanted her to bump it up to between 1,600 and 1,800 a day."

A Compromise for Angelina Jolie

Angelina Jolie is used to getting her way with Brad Pitt. Ever since their relationship began the running joke in many celebrity circles was that Brad was under the thumb of a strong willed Angelina. Have the table turned? A report claims that Jolie now realizes that she must compromise with her non-husband or risk losing him.

In Touch Weekly is reporting that Angelina is more willing to let Brad call the shots these days. “She knows she has to pick her battles and make concessions for the sake of the relationship and the children,” notes Patti Stanger, host of Bravo’s Millionaire Matchmaker. “She’s made a very wise decision.”

“Brad felt that the time had come to give Angie boundaries,” an insider says. “It’s given her a deeper respect for him.” Brad wants New Orleans to be home for the family while Jolie wants to travel the globe. But now the magazine reports that Angelina eventually gave in to Brad’s wish to set down roots for the kids. “Now’s the time to make cookies and do finger paintings at home,” an insider says. “They can discover the world when they’re older.”

She has even made an effort to make up with Brad's parents. Although Brad knows she and his mom, Jane, don’t get along perfectly, Angelina agreed to take the family to Missouri to visit his parents on January 2. “The kids had so much fun,” Brad’s sister-in-law Lisa said. “It was great.”

Angelina Jolie & Brad Pitt Birthday Bash for the Non Blob

It's birthday time for the non-blob little girl of the family. Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's little baby girl Zahara turns three today reports Us Weekly magazine. The magazine notes that Pitt and Jolie (who rocked the red carpet at last night's Critics' Choice Awards) adopted Zahara in Ethiopia in 2005 (her name means "flower" in Swahili). When they adopted the girl — whom they affectionately call "Z" — "she was 6 months old and not 9 lbs," Jolie said at the time. "Her skin, you could squeeze it, it stuck together. She now looks absolutely adorable as she is packed all over the globe by her nomadic parents.

On Z's early days Jolie adds, "It was terrifying," Shortly after Brangelina took the baby under their wings, she "gained 6 lbs. ... We are calling her chubby," Jolie said in 2005. "She's, you know, she's just a totally different baby." Z's now feistier than ever, Jolie has said. When the family welcomed daughter Shiloh in 2006, Jolie told Anderson Cooper: "Z's a little jealous because she's still a little girl." Well at least they haven't dubbed little Zahara as an outcast or a blob. It should be a fabulous birthday bas as daddy Pitt usually plans the parties and certainly now that Z has left the terrible twos she will get her birthday party.

Jolie patches up with estranged father

Angelina Jolie has buried the hatchet with her estranged father Jon Voight, by calling him on Christmas Eve.The two had not spoken since June 2002, after Voight told a U.S. television show that he hoped Jolie would seek help for her "serious emotional problems"

And now, the 69-year-old, who had tried to patch things up with his daughter since last month (Dec07), has nothing but praises for her."I'm very impressed with Angelina's work, with some of the humanitarian things, and she's a great actress,” Contactmusic quoted Voight, as saying "I am always thinking of Brad and the kids. I'm sending my love that way," he added. A source tells the National Enquirer that Jolie called her father while spending Christmas in New Orleans with partner Brad Pitt and their four children.
